The Gardens of
Hillsboro, located in Chino, California, is a 150 unit retirement
community providing complete room and board for its residents. This 3
story building includes a library, chapel, complete kitchen/cafeteria,
and recreational facility.
The building type is a
combination of steel and wood framing with stucco exterior and tile
roofing. Extensive sheer walls are used throughout the structure to
meet earthquake code requirements.
